basuketto, A1043
Between Provencal and Japanese tradition, BASUKETTO is a research project exploring the technique of basketry through basic shapes. Designed from rattan core and ribs, the baskets in this collection are evolving, resulting in variations in size and shape. The repeated production of these baskets is the basis of this evolution.
A real economy of means is put in place with this technique because no mold and each basket is made by hand. Only a tub of water and a few strands of rattan are needed for their design. As opposed to their simple shape, they are also partially tinted in various colors.
